Hi foodies, today I’ll be doing a food review of a popular fast-food restaurant at Patel Nagar, Saharanpur Road. They are well known for their reasonable prices, generous servings, streamlined menu, and genuine flavor.
This restaurant is Dehradun’s one and only franchise of a popular brand which is spread across multiple states like Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, etc.
Come, let’s take a closer look!
Location
70/1, PNB ATM, Saharanpur Rd, Patel Nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand 248001
Finding a good parking spot here should not be an issue, as there is ample parking space available in front of the restaurant, along the main road, for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers alike.
Since the restaurant is located along the main road, the parking space tends to fill up quite quickly & the area gets quite crowded too, especially around the weekends, so please keep these aspects in mind before planning a visit.

Ambience
The restaurant was decorated with lots of food pictures and vibrant colors to give the place a lively appeal. Moreover, I was mightily impressed by the overall upkeep of the place, as for a street food outlet, it looked quite sophisticated, and the overall premises of the restaurant looked extremely well-maintained and hygienic.
They had tried to design the outlet in such a way that even though it looked quite modern and attractive in design, it still nevertheless, stayed loyal to the core appeal of the outlet by being more like the other popular street food restaurants around town, and I felt they had successfully managed to capture those rustic feelings very well.
Quality Of Food (Taste, Service & Presentation)
The service of the restaurant was super quick and efficient. Both the dishes that I had ordered were presented well and hygienically and were also prepared in very good time.
The chefs were in the restaurant’s trademark black uniform, which was great to see as it gave them a very professional look. Moreover, my host for the day, Mr. Amit, was super warm and courteous towards me and was also generous enough to give me an in-depth view into the workings of their restaurant, as well as to help me understand what truly gives their dishes their special, authentic flavors.
Dishes Ordered
From their beverages section, I ordered one of their most popular drinks, the Sweet Lassi.
From their main menu, I ordered one of their specialty dishes, the Special Paneer Wale Chole Bhature.
Here are some other dishes they serve:
Sweet Lassi
First up came one of their most popular beverages, the sweet lassi.
The sweet lassi was served full to the brim in a designer, disposable glass, and tasted great. It was prepared super thick and creamy in consistency, and although the lassi was indeed quite sweet in taste, it wasn’t overly sweet enough to overpower the rich & creamy taste of pure curd they had used to make it in the first place.
Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to find lots of small segments of rich cream in every sip as well, which not only helped to give the drink a more premium texture but also enhanced the overall taste of the drink immensely.
To help retain the purity and authentic taste of their sweet lassi, the restaurant had chosen not to add any additional aromatic spices to the beverage like some cardamom powder, saffron strands, or any other type of garnish, so as to let the customers experience the rich and creamy flavor of the freshly churned curd in its truest, most natural form, and personally, I felt the excellent, pure flavor of their drink truly highlighted that fact very well.
Some customers may indeed find the taste of their lassi to be a little too simple in terms of flavor, but if you’re someone who likes their beverages to have more pure, classic flavors, then you’ll absolutely love it.
Special Paneer Wale Chole Bhature
And finally came one of their specialty dishes, the Special Paneer Wale Chole Bhature.
The paneer wale chole Bhature was served on a rectangular serving tray, with the Bhatures served on a disposable plate, whereas the accompanying elements like chole, green chutney, and the salad were served in their individual disposable siali leaf bowls, to help give the dish a more earthy feel.
Starting with the Bhatures, they were perfectly golden fried and super crispy on the outside, moist and soft on the insides, and to my pleasant surprise, they weren’t too oily at all. Moreover, to give them a more premium taste, a modest quantity of thin paneer slices were stuffed in them as well.
Coming to the Chole served with the Bhatures, it was prepared relatively thick in consistency, was jam-packed with lots of aromatic flavors, and tasted delicious. They had used a smaller variety of chole for this preparation and had cooked them in the thick masala to such an extent that even though the chole was completely cooked through, they had still managed to retain their shape and texture, and were not at all mushy, while completely absorbing all the delicious, robust flavors of the masala in the process.
Additionally, a few segments of spiced boiled potatoes were served on top of the chole masala too, to add a more street-food style flavor to it and also to be completely in sync with the signature Delhi-style preparation of the very same dish.
Moving on to the accompaniments served with the dish, the green chutney was quite tangy in flavor and smooth in consistency and acted as a superb accompaniment with the dish. It was made by blending lots of fresh ingredients like coriander leaves, mint leaves, curd, black salt, etc. to help not only give the green chutney its signature vibrant green color but also give it a truly delectable fresh flavor.
The salad on the other hand, contained lots of thinly sliced onion rings, pickled slices of carrot, and a jumbo pickled green chilli, and although there was nothing extraordinary about the salad in itself, it was still a necessary addition to the dish nonetheless, as it complemented all the other elements of the dish very well by providing a slight relief from their combined tangy, robust & oily flavors.

To Eat or Not?
To Eat, absolutely.
With their vibrant, compact ambiance, authentic and hygienic food, courteous service, and focused menu, they are a great place to visit or order from, if you’re looking to enjoy some freshly prepared, authentic Delhi-style chole Bhature in Dehradun at very affordable rates, with your loved ones.
Since their seating arrangements are slightly limited at the moment, one can easily opt for online delivery as well, to enjoy their various offerings from the comfort of your home.
Overall, I had a wonderful time visiting this well-maintained and hygienic, fast-food restaurant and I can’t wait to go back and try a few more delicious dishes from their well-curated menu.
Although there are many places serving chole Bhatures in Dehradun today, only a handful of places can claim to match their authenticity and the level of flavor that they are currently able to provide, that too at very pocket-friendly prices.
