Ambience

The ambiance of the restaurant was lively and vibrant, and the way the overall restaurant was set-up, it gave off a unique sense of exclusivity and sophistication to the place.

The premises of the restaurant were extremely well-maintained and hygienic, and moreover, the feel of the place was further enhanced by the implementation of various other elements like aesthetic lighting options, decorative wall-paintings and designs, premium comfortable seating arrangements, a multi-layered rack that displayed their freshest bakery offerings, an attractive dessert display counter cum reception desk, etc., to ultimately help give the place a truly inviting, luxurious feel.

Additionally, the restaurant also had an elaborate seating area located outside the building, which was provided and decorated with numerous stylish wooden seating arrangements along with lots of greenery as well, for customers who preferred to dine in a more natural setting.

Quality Of Food (Taste, Service & Presentation)

The service of the restaurant was reasonably quick and efficient. Since their ravioli are 100% made in-house, I was cordially informed that this dish would take around 20 minutes to prepare, and rightly so, my ravioli dish was served to me in around 20 minutes, which was quite fair in my opinion, whereas the blueberry cheesecake came directly from their dessert counter and was already pre-assembled, so that took only 2 minutes.

The service staff was in the restaurant’s trademark black uniform and looked extremely professional. Moreover, they were warm and courteous towards me, especially Mr. Deepak, who was my server for the day, he was not only polite enough to give me an insight into what went into the making of some of their popular dishes, but he also gave me a few well-placed recommendations based on my tastes and preferences, too.

Dishes Ordered

For my main course, I ordered one of their best and highly recommended ravioli-based dishes, the Pollo Parma Rosa.

From their desserts section, I ordered one of their specialty dishes, the Blue Berry Cheesecake.

Pollo Parma Rosa

First up came one of their best and highly recommended ravioli-based dishes, the pollo Parma Rosa.

The ravioli dish came served on a blue-colored, circular ceramic pasta plate and looked extremely appetizing. 6 house-made ravioli came placed in a thick and creamy pink sauce, garnished with a variety of flavorful elements which included a generous sprinkle of powdered dried black olives and oregano leaves, finely grated cheddar cheese, some Italian seasonings like chilli flakes & oregano, a generous drizzle of olive oil and finally topped off with a small pink dahlia too, for the sake of some freshness. Additionally, to give the dish a more complete feel, it was accompanied by a slice of toasted garlic bread as well.

Starting with the raviolis themselves, they were well crafted and designed into manageable bite-sized pockets, filled with a delicious, juicy flavorsome filling. Although the outer pasta of the ravioli was indeed crafted well, it still wasn’t rolled to be quite thin enough as it needed to be, as I found it to be a little too thick in comparison to what is authentically served. Due to the outer pasta being a bit too thick, instead of the ravioli being melt-in-mouth soft, they became slightly chewy to bite. The thickness of the ravioli plays a big role in the overall taste of the entire dish and sadly they slightly missed the mark with it today, I felt it is definitely an aspect they can try and improve upon if they want their customers to get the intended taste of this popular dish.

Coming to the filling of the ravioli, they had mixed together quite a few flavorsome ingredients like chicken pieces, red peppers, cheddar cheese, and basil into the portions of ravioli in an almost pasty consistency, so when cooked, the filling gave off a delicious combined juicy flavor of all the tasty ingredients they had used to make it, with the chickeny and cheesy flavors, in particular, shining through the brightest by giving the filling a cheesy, meaty flavor, whereas the red peppers gave it some heat and spiciness and the basil gave it some much-need Italian freshness.

Moving on to the next element of the dish, the pink sauce. The pink sauce or ‘rosa’ was prepared to be quite thick and rich in consistency, thanks to the rich quality of fresh cream and tomato puree they had used to prepare it, and it was jam-packed with lots of diverse, robust flavors, giving the sauce a truly divine taste.

Due to the sauce being super creamy and tomatoey in texture, it was predictably quite heavy on the stomach, but with the addition of varied flavors from all the other flavorsome garnishes I had mentioned earlier like powdered dried black olives, cheddar cheese, chili flakes, and crushed oregano, and finely some olive oil, they not only helped in giving the sauce some contrast in flavor but also helped in taking the overall taste of the sauce to a whole new scrumptious level.

Lastly, coming to the slice of toasted garlic bread provided with the dish, it was spread and garnished with a few tasty ingredients like a generous quantity of butter, garlic, and some fresh coriander leaves, and was then toasted to perfection to such an extent that it had developed an extremely delectable, crumbly and crunchy texture, which helped it act as the perfect accompaniment to go with the rich and creamy texture of the pink sauce.

Blueberry Cheesecake

And finally, I was served one of their most popular specialty desserts, the blueberry cheesecake.

A generous slice of blueberry cheesecake was served on a stylish textured blue plate, and for the ease of eating, a small dessert spoon was provided with it too.

One thing I did want to point out was that the cheesecake was served to me in a slightly damaged form in a few areas, as you can clearly see in the image below, and although it wasn’t a big issue, it certainly didn’t look great as far as presentation is concerned, and it is definitely something the restaurant should look to improve upon.

Blueberry Cheesecake

The blueberry cheesecake was rich, creamy, buttery, and sweet in flavor and tasted absolutely divine. It had to be, without a doubt, one of the very best preparations of blueberry cheesecake I’ve had in a long time.

Starting with the base, it had all the distinct buttery, biscuity flavors of what a traditional cheesecake base must have, with the only exception being in its texture, which was quite different from what most other popular food places serving cheesecakes usually do, as instead of the base being crumbly and granulated in texture it was prepared to be quite silky, pasty and smooth, and although it tasted great, but personally, I wish they would’ve gone with the iconic crumbly base texture, as it would’ve helped in giving the cheesecake its trademark crunchy element.

Coming to the cream cheese filling, since this was an unbaked cheesecake, it was refrigerated to such an extent that the cream cheese filling had developed a deliciously thick and creamy consistency. In terms of flavor, it had an extremely rich milky flavor to it with the added citrusy aftertaste, which probably came from either the white vinegar or the lime juice they had used to make it, exactly like a good cream cheese filling should have, adding a nice citrusy contrast in flavor in the process as well to the rich and buttery tastes of the biscuit crumble and the sweet compote.

Moreover, it was also comparatively less sweet in taste as compared to the overall sweetness of the biscuity base and the luscious blueberry compote, which was once again a nice touch, because had all three layers been as sweet as the others, the other subtle flavors present in the dish would’ve totally been overpowered.

Lastly, coming to the final layer of the cheesecake is the delicious layer of blueberry compote. To begin with, they had layered quite a generous quantity of glossy blueberry compote on it which was always great to see moreover, it was prepared to be predictably quite sweet in taste but it never felt excessive in any way. I also absolutely loved the floral taste of the candied blueberries which were present in it, helping in giving the cheesecake a truly delectable and luscious, fruity flavor, which complemented the buttery and creamy flavor profiles of the other layers wonderfully well.

To Eat or Not?

With its excellent, sophisticated, and modern ambiance, scrumptious food, warm and courteous service, and a well-curated, focused menu, this fine-dining Italian Osteria is a great place to visit or order from and enjoy a surprisingly large selection of Continental delicacies like pasta, pizzas, cheesecakes, etc., with your loved ones, at reasonably good prices, as far as fine-dining restaurant rates are concerned.

In terms of their food, I absolutely loved their rich and decadent blubbery cheesecake the most and it will surely go down as my dish of the day. As for the pollo parma rosa, overall, it was a very well-made dish and there was a lot to like about it, from its delicious creamy pink sauce to the flavorsome chicken and cheddar filling, but the only part of the dish I felt they could’ve improved upon was the overall thickness of the pasta dough itself, which could’ve easily been prepared to be much thinner, to ultimately help give the ravioli a more melt-in-mouth, smooth texture.

Overall, I had an immensely enjoyable time visiting this modern Osteria and I’m eagerly looking forward to visiting them soon in the future, to try many more mouth-watering Italian delicacies from their well-curated menu.

They are already among some of the top Italian restaurants currently operating in the city but with a bit more care towards the preparations of their dishes, I can totally see them pleasing customers for many years to come with their impeccable authenticity.
