Hi foodies! Today I’ll be doing a food review of a popular fast-food restaurant near Balliwala Chowk, GMS Road. They are very well known for their pocket-friendly pricing, serving size, elaborate menu & tandoori items.
Come, let’s take a closer look!
LOCATION
1, General Mahadev Singh Rd, Nehru Enclave, Satya Vihar, Ballupur, Dehradun, Uttarakhand 248006
The fast-food restaurant is situated near Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, right at the main GMS road.
There is ample parking space available in front of the restaurant for two-wheelers, but parking any larger vehicles here for an extended time would be quite difficult, especially during the evenings, as that is when this food outlet tends to get quite crowded.

Ambience
The ambiance of the place was colorful, and tidy and had a very youthful vibe to it. The place was compact in design but had all the necessary elements in place required to run a good fast-food outlet, like numerous dustbins placed around the place to maintain hygiene and some lovely, lively music playing in the background.
Lastly, lots of small trees covered the area too, making the place quite cool and shady, adding some much-needed greenery and freshness to the overall feel of the place.
Quality Of Food (Taste, Service & Presentation)
The service was quite good. It was fast and efficient. Most of the dishes I ordered were served in 5 – 10 minutes maximum, which was great for a fast-food restaurant, except for the Khopche paneer crispy momos, which took an unusually long time to prepare.
The service staff personnel were polite and were always eager to help.
Dishes Ordered:
I ordered their Chicken Roll, Choco Coffee & half a plate of Khopche Paneer Crispy Momos.
Chicken Roll
First up came one of their better varieties of rolls, the chicken roll.
It came in a three-sectioned black plastic plate, the bigger section of which was used for the chicken roll and the other two smaller sections contained the accompaniments to go with it. One section had a tasty, but hot and tangy chutney in it and the other section contained a mild white sauce which is usually served with shawarmas.
The chicken roll came wrapped in a thin layer of silver foil and portioned into two halves. The taste of the roll was really good. The outer layer was made like a thin roti and the filling contained quite a few items like thin slices of capsicum, chicken pieces, small pieces of tomato, some chopped onion pieces, some chopped coriander leaves, and a tangy, sweet chili sauce.
The chicken pieces had a slightly smoky taste to them, which gave off a very pleasant flavor to the entire dish. Apart from the chicken pieces, all the other items in the filling were kept fresh and crunchy. The dish tasted quite fresh, but I feel they could’ve added more flavor to the chicken roll like adding a more flavorful sauce.
It tasted quite simple but was still a great snack item if you’re looking to grab a quick bite. I preferred to have the chicken roll without the accompaniments as I felt that the roll itself had enough flavor in it for it to be had on its own. If you prefer spicy or creamy accompaniments with your rolls, they are a must-try.
Choco Coffee
Next up came the Choco Coffee, which was served in a designer disposable cup, almost filling 3/4th of it. For the price, I expected them to fill it to the brim.
It was relatively frothy and was garnished with a sprinkle of cocoa powder. It was quite hot and tasted great. Thankfully it wasn’t overly sweet. A great accompaniment if you prefer a hot beverage to go with your meal.
Khopche Paneer Crispy Momos
Finally, I ordered one of their special items listed on the menu, half a plate of Khopche paneer crispy momos.
They too were served on a three-sectioned black plastic plate along with the hot and tangy chutney and the white shawarma sauce. I got four decent-sized crispy momos, sprinkled with some chat masala, along with some thinly chopped onion slices on the side as well to go with it. The momos were super crunchy from the outside as they were coated with some type of crumb and the chat masala added a very nice tangy flavor to it.
One big issue I had with the momos was that I found the outer layer of the momos quite thick. They could’ve easily been made much, much thinner.
The paneer filling inside the momos was quite tasty. It didn’t have the usual simple white paneer filling inside it, which most places provide, instead, they had filled the momos with a flavorful yellowish paneer mixture made by combining various Indian herbs and spices, which they must’ve prepared separately before filling it inside the momos. It went very well with the hot and tangy chutney and the onion slices. A great twist on a seemingly simple dish.

To Eat or Not?
To Eat, definitely.
So far, they have made a name for themselves for providing great food at great prices, but when you combine that with their open ambiance and an elaborate menu, this place truly becomes the perfect hotspot for people looking for a quick bite.
All the dishes that I had ordered were of good quality and quantity, and totally worth the price. They have a very large menu priced very economically to choose from, to cater to a larger audience.
They can definitely do a few things better, like replacing the broken standing tables with brand new ones, adding some music in the eating area, adding more flavor to their chicken roll, and making the outer layer of their paneer crispy momos much thinner.
Overall, I found this to be the perfect place to hang out with friends and partners and to satisfy your various food cravings at very economical prices. If you’re going here with your family, I would recommend you to take a seat at one of the tables in the other part of the restaurant as the main counter becomes quite crowded during peak hours and can be quite inconvenient for some people.
