Hi foodies, today I’ll be doing a food review of a stylish Restro Bar near Ballupur Chowk, GMS road. They are well known for their modern décor, serving size, stylish bar & elaborate menu.

Generally, finding a good parking spot here should not be an issue as the complex in which the restaurant is situated has ample parking space available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers alike.
The restaurant does indeed get most of its customers during the evenings and the weekends, hence finding a good parking spot during those peak hours might become a bit of a hassle as the parking space available is not the biggest.

Ambience
The ambiance of the restaurant was super lively, artistic, and impressively elegant. The overall restaurant was segregated into 3 sections, with the 1st being their main dining area and the 2nd designed more like a smaller private room that had its very own in-built buffet arrangements, most commonly used for events like family and corporate gatherings, kitty parties, etc.
The 3rd section of the restaurant was located on a floor above the main dining area, containing their dedicated fancy-looking bar area, which was designed for guests who were more inclined towards their beverages. The bar area had a reasonably spacious terrace attached to it too, which had all the modern seating arrangements in place for guests who preferred a more open dining experience.
All the 3 sections of the restaurant were designed very tastefully with the help of premium-looking elements like aesthetic lighting options, luxurious seating arrangements, some artistic abstract wall art designs, and paintings, along with some melodious tunes playing in the background, which only went on to add to the overall feel of the restaurant by giving it a more modern, classy vibe.
Quality Of Food (Taste, Service & Presentation)
The service of the restaurant was quick and efficient. All the dishes that I had ordered were presented beautifully and prepared in good time.
The service staff was in the restaurant’s designated uniform which gave them a smart look. Moreover, they were super warm and courteous towards me, especially Ms. Manju and Mr. Sanjay, who not only answered any of my queries regarding the dishes and the menu but also gave me a private tour of all the 3 sections of the restaurant for which I’m extremely grateful.
Additionally, I was also fortunate enough to meet and catch up with one of the co-owners of the restaurant, Mr. Vivek Chauhan, who came across as a knowledgeable and humble personality, and he was also generous enough to give me a great insight into the workings of their restaurant and its services.
Dishes Ordered
From their beverages section, I ordered one of their best-selling drinks, the Virgin Mojito.
For my main course, I ordered one of their specialty dishes, the Grilled Fish.
Virgin Mojito
First up came one of their best-selling drinks, the Virgin Mojito.
The Mojito was served full to the brim in a stylish textured glass, containing lots of ice cubes, mint leaves, and lemon wedges.
The drink was fizzy in texture and quite tangy in taste, largely thanks to the generous amount of lemon wedges they had added to the drink to give the mojito its distinct, lemony flavor.
Moreover, the addition of the generous quantity of mint leaves further enhanced the taste of the drink by not only giving it a delectable, fresh mint flavor but also some much-needed freshness.
Although virgin mojitos are normally prepared transparent in color, here they had tried to give it a slightly different look. To help give the drink a unique appearance, they added a colored sweetener to it which not only gave the drink an adequately sweetened taste but also gave the mojito a mild golden color as well, making it somewhat familiar in appearance to an iced tea.
A highly recommended beverage to order from their menu if you’re looking for a fresher, lighter drink to complement your meal.
Grilled Fish
And finally came one of their specialty main course dishes, the grilled fish.
Two pieces of grilled fish fillets were served on a stylish, traditional white ceramic plate and looked extremely appetizing. Additionally, a couple of side dishes like some sauteed fresh vegetables and a generous dollop of mashed potatoes were served with the grilled fish as well, to help complete the dish.
As for the accompaniment, a modest quantity of flavored melted butter was provided in a small ceramic bowl, to help complement the dish better.
Starting with the main element of the dish, the grilled fish itself, it was handled and prepared very professionally by the chefs and it definitely reflected in its taste. The fish was very well seasoned with the help of continental herbs like black pepper and chili flakes to give it a more intense flavor. Moreover, I found the fish to be extremely well cooked as well, in such a fashion that the fish fillets were not only melt-in-mouth soft, moist, and juicy in texture, but one could clearly taste the delectable oily flavor of fresh fish from it too, giving the grilled fish a truly magnificent, sumptuous flavor.
Additionally, the fish fillets were completely coated with a fine variety of breadcrumbs too, to not only help give the fish more flavor & to protect it from directly coming in contact with the grill but most importantly, to also help in holding the fish fillets together when they were being grilled, as they were cooked to perfection in such a way that they had become quite brittle and could’ve easily fallen apart had they not been coated with those breadcrumbs.
Moving on to the two side dishes served alongside the grilled fish; starting with the sauteed vegetables, various fresh vegetables like baby corn, button mushroom, red and green zucchini, red, yellow, and green capsicum, and finally, some broccoli as well, were all well-seasoned with continental herbs like black pepper, chili flakes, and flavorsome oregano, to give them a delectable flavor. Moreover, the veggies were tossed and cooked in such a way that even though they were cooked through, they still had a crunchy bite to them, and were not mushy at all.
Although I found the sauteed vegetables to be great in taste on the whole, I did however find the pieces of baby corn in particular to be a bit underdone and slightly hard to chew, and I wish the chefs could’ve tossed them for a bit longer to help completely cook them through. Not a big issue, but certainly something they can try to improve upon.
Coming to the second side dish, the generous helping of mashed potatoes was prepared to be super creamy and smooth in texture and quite flavorful in taste. Just like the sauteed veggies, they too had been seasoned with continental herbs like black pepper & oregano to help give them a tastier flavor, and I also liked the way they had used quite a lot of butter to give the mashed potatoes their distinct silky-smooth consistency.
And finally coming to the only accompaniment provided with the dish, the small bowl of flavored melted butter. Although the melted butter in itself didn’t add too much in terms of taste to the overall dish as a whole, it was still quite rich and heavy in flavor, and it did however add a more premium flavor to anything it was added to. I personally enjoyed it the most by pouring it all over the mashed potatoes, as it only helped in adding a more flavorsome, buttery richness to the already creamy & silky texture of the side dish.

To Eat, definitely!
With its elegant, modern ambiance, sumptuous food, extremely courteous service, and elaborate menu, this restaurant is most definitely one of the best restaurants in the city today to visit with your family, friends, or colleagues, if you’re looking to enjoy a wide range of mouth-watering North Indian and continental dishes from their diverse menu at very competitive prices.
Although I liked the Virgin Mojito too, I absolutely loved the overall preparation, presentation & taste of the grilled fish in particular very much, and it will most definitely go down as one of the best grilled fish dishes I’ve had in a long, long time.
Overall, I had an immensely enjoyable experience visiting this elegant-looking, artistic restaurant and I can’t wait to go back and try a few more delectable dishes from their elaborate menu.
This restaurant has all the tools in place to be a huge success and I sincerely hope they are able to keep up the impeccable standards at which they are currently operating, for many years to come.
